Day 1 Arrival Kuching (D)
Meet
and assisted upon arrival at Kuching International Airport
by flight (TBA) and transfer to the Hotel.
19:00 hrs depart from Hotel’s lobby and transfer to Top
Spot Food Court for seafood dinner and return to the hotel
for overnight.
Day 2 Kuching City
Tour / Sarawak River Cruise (B)
Breakfast at the hotel
09:00 hrs depart from Hotel’s lobby for Kuching City
Tour includes the visit of the Tua Pek Kong temple, the
oldest Chinese temple in Sarawak, built in 1876 and view the
Fort Margarita from Kuching Waterfront. The highlight of the
tour is the visit of the Sarawak Museum, one of the finest
in South East Asia. It is a treasure house of artifacts and
exhibits with great archaeological and cultural
significance. After tour, return to the hotel.
 17:00
hrs pick-up from Hotel’s lobby to Kuching Waterfront for
Sunset Sarawak River Cruise. Retrace this historic route
with a boat ride down this same river, which still bustles
with its charm. The trip also offers a panoramic view of the
fast developing Kuching City, where the presence of the old
buildings standing amidst modern ones give place a quaint
character. Although Kuching has undergone much development
over the years, its waterfront still retain its old charm.
This contrasting picture is readily apparent with a river
cruise where one will notice the commercial growth on one
side of the river and the idyllic village lifestyle on the
other. The cruises passes through the Esplanade, the many
historical and then beautiful landmarks such as the Fort
Margherita, the Astana, the gilt – Domes Mosque, Brooke
Dockyards, Market Place, traditional Malay houses built on
stilts and a Chinese fishing village. After cruise, return
to the hotel for overnight.
Day 3 Semenggoh
Orang Utan / 3D/2N Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort (B/L)

08:00 hrs pick-up from Hotel’s lobby and start your
journey to Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre
situated about 30 minutes drive from Kuching, here,, the
orang utans are being nurtured to readapt themselves to the
jungle life. You will have the chance to observe the
Semi-Wild Orang Utans coming out of the forest for the
feeding time. Before arriving at the feeding platform, you
will have a brief experience walking through the amazing
untouched rainforest. After which proceed for 3D/2N Hilton
Batang Ai Longhouse Tour, start your journey to Batang Ai,
along the Pan Borneo Highway, passing through the beautiful
sceneries of rural villages, towns and gardens of pepper,
rubber and rice fields. You will travel 275 km by road, with
a few stops along the way: the first stop is in Serian town,
where you will stop for refreshments. You may wish to make
some last minutes shopping for insect repellent or for gifts
for the Ibans at Serian. You can also visit a
fascinating native fruit and vegetable market. The other
stop includes a visit to the pepper farm and a stop at a
place where you can observe plenty of wild orchids and
alsopitcher plants, insect eating plants. The last stop will
be at “Lachau”, a small upcountry Chinese village, where you
will stop for lunch. (Here barter trade still exists between
the natives of Kalimantan, the Chinese shop owners and
natives of Sarawak). After lunch, proceed to the final stage
of the journey and arrive at the beautiful Batang Ai lake.
At the jetty, you will take at ferry across the lake to
reach the Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort, the ferry ride
will take approximately 15-20 mins. After checking in, the
rest of the day is free at your own leisure, to enjoy the
many facilities at this resort. Overnight at Hilton Batang
Ai Longhouse Resort.
Day 4 Hilton Batang Longhouse
Resort / Batang Ai National Park (B/L)
Breakfast at the resort
09:00 hrs proceed with a scenic 11/2 hour longboat ride
to Batang Ai National Park. As an option, take a 2 hour
challenging trek at the National Park passing old Iban
graves. At the end of the trek, have a cooling dip in the
clear water of the river while lunch is prepared
traditionally in bamboo by the Ibans at the river bank.
Otherwise, go straight to the picnic area and have a cooling
dip while the Ibans prepare lunch. Return to Hilton Batang
Ai Longhouse Resort, overnight.
Day 5 Hilton batang Ai
Longhouse Resort / Iban Longhouse Excursion (B/L)
Breakfast at the resort.
Check
out, at 08:00 hrs, proceed by boat to Batang Ai Jetty.
Continue by van to the Sebiliau jetty where the Ibans will
take you on a 45 minutes longboat ride up the Lemanak River
to their longhouse.
Proceed
with the introduction of the longhouse and its residents.
The highlight of the visit will be the Welcoming Ceremony by
the Ibans as an appreciation of the visit to their longhouse
followed by a demonstration on using a blowpipe. Continue
with the Ibans on a short trek through their plantation;
see their animal trapping methods and their burial grounds.
Boatride back to Sebeliau jetty followed by drive back to
Kuching with stopover at Lachau for lunch. Check-in at the
Hotel for overnight.
Day 6 Transfer out
