Amankora Paro is a 24-suite property, situated in Balakha Village, approx. 20 minutes drive from Paro town. Conceptualized as a "village' the resort is a retreat sheltered within a pine forest setting that consists of a Spa centre and a cluster of six, two-storey building housing gour guest suites a piece. All the buildings are connected by paved pathways to a large flagstone courtyard where a lime-washed stone central pavilion houses the living room, dining room and library. The resort lies below the 17th century Drugyel Dzong at approx. 2. 520m above sea level. |
